Actually the harness is established: its use on our borrowed Shih-Tzu is not. Down to the landing

aaaand no further. She won't have any of it, and we return upstairs. Could be the harness, could be hour (it's a late walk), could be the weather (cold, wet - pretty miserable). Back upstairs she still drank water, still wanted to play.
(there's a wildly entertaining video, here, but I'm not sure Blogger is still loading it properly - wankers).
Very odd (the play is good, though - tells us there's nothing wrong, and tells Layla that she isn't in trouble for some perceived insult to us).
We shall continue the experiment tomorrow morning. Odd, though. Layla's understanding of "Walk" - conceptually as well as operationally - is really unlike that of any dog I've ever known.
We're hoping for some better weather. Central park beckons!
