An eventful day. Layla awakes at 3.16am! And then on and off for the next 5 hours until we get up and make her breakfast. She growls and generally makes an uninterpretable nuisance of herself for that period.
She also discovers the joy of growling at Sonja and trying to secure my attention (she is not allowed on the bed. She does find an interesting way to get attention: get onto the forbidden bed - while we're outside - and then bark at us so we see her. Teenagers, man).
She discovers that, when one adds a slight bit of hot water to mixed tinned-and-dry food, one gets biscuits in gravy.

Sonja handled the walk, this morning. This one was particularly eventful:

What does this mean if you're a mere Shih-Tzu? It means teh wet.

(I would point out that my wife takes better photos with my mobile phone than I - outdoors, at least).
Return on investment? Bath.

I learn she doesn't like being in the bathtub.

At all.

Post-bath.

I learn Layla is rambunctious, post-bath. Some time was spent barking at the box of her stuff while I tried to figure out what her stupid problem is.
I believe this is what she wanted.
Repeated misbehaving (jumping and rolling on every piece of furniture we have) saw a confrontation. I believe it is due to her somewhat idiosyncratic approach to getting her ears dry: rabidly pushing the side of her head into material of any kind.
I now know Layla knows she's in trouble when she retreats to her figurative dog-house: the table.

And to think we haven't even had breakfast, yet.
