Day Fourteen

Harmful elements in the air
Symbols clashing everywhere
Reaps the fields of rice and reeds
While the population feeds
Junk floats on polluted water
An old custom to sell your daughter

No real photos, today. I forgot to check that there was a memory card (there wasn't). So the phone had to do, but it's really doing a shit job of it, lately.

So here's an extra! Something we saw yesterday.

If you wouldn't drink that, frankly, there must be something wrong with you.

Today was garbage day. Did wonders for the double-parking on our block this morning (there was quite a bit).

Layla can choose very awkward places to pee.

That's up a step, on a slope, balancing against both a stick and a rock.

Also we went into the dog run.

Turned the walk into around 90 minutes, but Layla had fun. There were only two dogs (actually there were none when we got there. In the process of sniffing about, two dogs entered and Layla freaked out trying to get in).

Despite warnings of rough dogs, in fact, I had to reprimand Layla on a couple of occasions for being too rough with one of her playmates (not the one just over her horizon; another one). I had to carry her most of the way home (part tiredness, part mis-behaving at having to head home).

Today's excitement was the most oblivious squirrel in the world walking, up the path towards us, until Layla must have been within about 5 feet of him. Had it not been for the leash she might very well have bagged this one. He was a thickie, he really was.
