Layla is learning our sleeping habits. She awoke around seven, but slept in until eight. Our goal is to get her to 9am so that, upon their return, her owners won't be able to shift her before they leave for work. And we will laugh when we hear about it.
She has also decided she rather likes the couch - or it's underneath. The little Morlock. My theory is that she figures it's an easy path to doggie treats.
Fast learner. This morning she learned that, while lying against the couch, my arm reaches nearly to the wall; far further in/under than her capacity to retreat.
Return on investment? No doggie treat.
Morning walk.
Weather: sunny.
Slight variation, this morning. We went through Sakura park, on to Riverside, but North of 122nd.
Someone had been in the park before us.
Turns out all entrances to this miserable pointy declining tail of the otherwise spectacular Riverside park are closed. Although we did learn about the Amiable Child something something.
In the end we made a big long loop and headed back. Took some time to teach some pigeons how it works on the west side.
Because that's how we roll.
